Purpose of the site
Part Tinker Puzzl provides general educational and informational material about homemade mechanical puzzles. It is not professional engineering advice, product certification, a tool-training service or a substitute for competent supervision. You are responsible for assessing your materials, tools, skills, workspace and intended users.
Workshop safety
Read the complete project and tool manufacturer’s instructions before beginning. Use appropriate protection and safe workholding. Do not use contaminated or unknown treated materials. Adults should handle knives, drilling and woodworking where required. Children need close, task-appropriate adult supervision. Stop if a part is damaged, a tool is unsuitable or you do not understand a step.
Magnets and small parts present serious hazards. Use only securely enclosed magnets suitable for the activity. Never use loose high-powered magnets. Keep magnets and small metal parts away from anyone who may swallow them. Suspected magnet ingestion needs immediate emergency medical attention. Follow medical-device manufacturer guidance regarding magnetic interference.
The projects are not certified toys and have not been represented as compliant with ASTM F963, EN 71 or another product-safety standard. If you organize a group activity, assess local requirements, venue rules, supervision and participant needs yourself.
No security function
Secret boxes and concealed catches are recreational puzzles, not locks or safes. Do not use them to secure valuables, medication, weapons, hazardous materials or items requiring restricted access.
Accuracy and availability
We aim to explain mechanisms clearly, but recycled materials vary and mistakes are possible. Measurements are starting points that may require adjustment. We do not guarantee a particular result, uninterrupted access or that every explanation suits every user. Content may be corrected or updated without notice.
Responsibility and legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided without warranties and we are not responsible for losses arising from unsafe construction, misuse or reliance on general information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited. Your non-excludable statutory rights remain unaffected.
Using the content
You may read the site and build projects for your own learning. Copyright in original site text, design and illustrations remains with the relevant rights holders. Do not republish substantial portions, redistribute illustrations or imply endorsement without permission, except where applicable law allows it. Referencing a mechanism does not create ownership of the underlying mechanical principle. Ask us about broader reuse.
Contact tools and correspondence
The contact form generates text locally. It does not transmit messages. Copying or downloading a draft does not deliver it to us; you must use your own email service. Do not send unlawful, abusive or confidential third-party information. A reply, correction or individual build review is not guaranteed.

Part Tinker Puzzl is not affiliated with or endorsed by the makers, authors, institutions or standards organizations mentioned for context. Names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We may update these terms to reflect changes to the site or applicable requirements. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
